Current Sensors Crocus Technology

The CT41x and CT42x family is a high bandwidth, fast response, and ultra-low noise integrated “contact current sensor” that uses Crocus Technology’s patented XtremeSense® TMR technology to provide highly accurate current measurements for many consumer and industrial applications. It supports many current ranges where the integrated current-carrying conductor (CCC) can handle up to 65A of current and produce a current measurement as a linear analog output voltage. The sensors are for 3.3V and 5V supply voltage. There are unidirectional and bidirectional versions. With filter and fault out as an option. It achieves an overall output error of approximately ±1.0% of full scale (FS) over the full temperature range. The sensors are offered in an industry standard 8-lead SOIC package and are RoHS compliant.

The CT43x sensors are the suitable types for higher demands on the isolation. Due to the larger SOIC16 package, they can withstand higher voltages. There is also a very large selection of designs here. In addition, there is a reference out filter pin and fault out. The CT43x are also RoHS compliant.

The CT452 (5V) and CT453 (3.3V) are integrated, high-bandwidth, low-noise, non-contacting current sensors that use Crocus Technology’s patented XtremeSense® TMR technology to provide highly accurate current measurements for many automotive and industrial applications to allow. It supports many measurement ranges in which the CT452/3 captures the magnetic field and converts it into a linear analogue output voltage. It achieves a total error output of less than ±1.0% over voltage and temperature. These non-contact current sensors are not only small and easy to construct, but also offer an effective common-mode field rejection of more than -50 dB. This enables the CT452/3 to have more than 90% immunity to stray magnetic fields, which means that the accuracy of the current measurement is almost unaffected. They have less than 300 ns output response time. The CT452/3 is equipped with a filter function to reduce noise on the output pin. Both CT452 and CT453 are available in an industry standard 8-lead SOIC package and 8-lead TSSOP package and are RoHS compliant.

The CT450 is an integrated, high-bandwidth, low-noise non-contact current sensor to provide high-accuracy current measurements for many consumer and industrial applications. It supports many measurement ranges where the CT450 captures the magnetic field and converts it into a linear analog output voltage. It achieves a total error output of less than ±1.0% over temperature.
It has very good performance and is equipped with a filter function to reduce the noise on the output pin.

The CT220 is a high-resolution linear contactless current sensor with the capability of measuring up to 1,000 A. It measures the magnetic field of the current flowing through a busbar or printed circuit board (PCB) trace and converts it to an analog output voltage that represents the field and therefore current. The CT220 is an ideal contactless current sensing solution for applications that need to have excellent isolation and accurate current measurements. There are variants of the CT220 that will sense the following magnetic fields: ±1.5 mT, ±5.0 mT, ±10.0 mT and ±15.0 mT.
